Democracy cannot be outsourced. Communities must be built. If the Nordic region is to serve as a democratic counterweight in a world shaped by division, algorithms and narrow national perspectives, we must build it together.

On 22 October, the NORD 55° LIVE Summit will bring together researchers, artists, journalists, politicians, thinkers, authors and representatives from civil society to challenge conventional thinking and help shape a new Nordic agenda.

We need stronger collaboration between our governments. But we also need a shared Nordic public sphere, where citizens, the media and culture connect our countries more closely—making the Nordic region stronger, more progressive and better equipped to act.
