November 17th, we're building the North
Democracy cannot be outsourced. Communities must be built. If the Nordic region is to serve as a democratic counterweight in a world shaped by division, algorithms and narrow national perspectives, we must build it together.
On 17. November, the NORD 55° LIVE Summit will bring together researchers, artists, journalists, politicians, thinkers, authors and representatives from civil society to challenge conventional thinking and help shape a new Nordic agenda.
We need stronger collaboration between our governments. But we also need a shared Nordic public sphere, where citizens, the media and culture connect our countries more closely—making the Nordic region stronger, more progressive and better equipped to act.
Join us for NORD 55°’s annual flagship event.

KulturytringDrammen June 21st-23rd, 2027
Nord55° will take part in the Norwegian festival Kulturytring at Union Brygge in Drammen. The festival is, in many ways, Norway’s equivalent of Denmark’s Kulturmøde Mors.
Kulturytring aims to raise the profile of arts and culture as an important area of public policy and as a driving force for social development. It does so through informed and relevant contributions, debates and discussions.
Kulturytring enjoys broad support across Norway and is the country’s largest cultural festival, bringing together 230 organisations and 5,500 participants in 2025. It attracts artists of all kinds from Norway and across the Nordic region, as well as researchers, politicians and opinion leaders.
The festival also has a dedicated youth programme, with delegations of young people from across the country.
Once again, Nord55° is ready to put important issues up for debate with leading voices from across the Nordic region.
